So… What will it cost? Because the range of needs from customer to customer vary so much, it is most effective for me to provide a quote for each individual request. So please send me a request for services and I’ll provide a quote right away. If you’d like to see some examples broken down, please read on.

To give you some frame of reference for pricing, I’ve listed two examples below of the more common requests. I’ve listed details for a standard wedding followed by a standard stage performance.

More than anything, the type of event affects the rate I’ll charge. I do not charge extra for multiple cameras or various types of audio gear (unlike most videographers, who break down individual charges for additional pieces of equipment used). Rather, I assess what the project will likely require in editing based on the customer’s desires and then use whatever equipment I have at my disposal to acquire the necessary footage.

It’s all about the editing process. A wedding is complex and time-consuming to edit, whereas a live concert or staged production is usually less time-consuming to edit (and therefore less expensive) – even though the time I spent shooting each event might be the same.

Standard wedding package  ($1200):

• Four hours of on-location filming: ceremony, parts of the reception, toasts, bouquet toss, dances, candids, etc.

• Two to three camera angles. All footage is captured on high-definition cameras.

• Three copies of the final DVD/Blu-ray. Each disc comes with an individually crafted label and insert for a standard case, catered specifically and uniquely to the customer’s event.

• One photo montage for up to 50 pictures, each individually cropped and panned and set to music.

• All footage is organized on a sleek DVD menu, again individually crafted from scratch for the customer’s particular event. I don’t use templates for anything.

Wedding package note: Rather than price each individual event to film, the customer gets four hours of my time and I’ll film whatever the customer requests. (If you want to cut costs and just cover the ceremony, I’m happy to reduce the price appropriately. You are not required to purchase four hours of my time. This is just a typical example.)

Standard live staged production ($400):

• The entirety of the customer’s staged production or live performance.

• Two high-definition camera angles.

• Three copies of the final DVD/Blu-ray (with all the same individually crafted inserts. labels, and menus).

• Custom intro and credits. Can integrate media (company/band logo, team name, headshots, etc.) provided by customer if so desired.

I care about each individual project and utilize my creativity (within the parameters of your permission) to make each second of video shine as much as possible. Like I said – I don’t use templates for anything (unlike many other videographers). I create each project from scratch to best fit the individual event and the customer’s needs. I do this because I’m committed to giving the customer the most value possible and because I want to be proud of every individual project.
